Body Piercing License and Permanent Makeup Certifications Online

The International Board of Medicine and Surgery (IBMS) under the leadership of David P. Kalin, MD, MPH, Chairman, has taken the responsibility to extend IBMS Certification of Permanent Makeup and Piercing/Body Artists globally through the IBMS Category: Other Medical Professionals.

With review of sanitation, sterilization, infection control, complications, emergency procedures, statutory regulations, and medical/legal issues affecting the body art industry, Permanent Makeup and Piercing/Body Artists globally are offered the opportunity to become certified by the International Board of Medicine and Surgery.

IBMS Certification includes:

• Comprehensive review of regulatory rules and medical/legal aspects specific to the Body Art (Piercing/permanent makeup) industry.
• IBMS OMP Body Art Certified Member will receive an IBMS Certificate and linkage of IBMS OMP Body Art Certification Seal on www.ibms.us to the IBMS OMP Body Art Certified Member's Website.
• IBMS Certification Seal may be used for marketing as long as Annual Renewal/Maintenance of Certification of IBMS Certification is up to date.
• An IBMS Certificate will be emailed to the Piercer/Body Artist upon uploading of current Occupational and State/National licenses to the IBMS Registered Member Profile (at www.ibms.us ) and completion of the online IBMS profile.

THE CERTIFICATION MARK, AS USED OR INTENDED TO BE USED BY PERSONS AUTHORIZED BY THE CERTIFIER, CERTIFIES THAT THE PERSON PROVIDING THE MEDICAL SERVICES HAS MET THE STANDARDS, QUALIFICATIONS AND TESTING REQUIREMENTS ESTABLISHED BY THE CERTIFIER.
